Disruptive Innovation: Unlock Your School's Potential

May 10, 2024, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

In our 30+ years of combined leadership experience, we’ve learned powerful lessons about what it takes to disrupt school as usual and move a building to the next level. As school leaders, the most powerful tool we have is the culture we create. Creating a disruptive culture centers around questions that ask, “why,” “what if” and “do we need to do that.” Simply, disruption aims to challenge a status quo culture that often protects and perpetuates school as usual. In order to create educational disruption, leaders must model risk-taking in all facets of school leadership - starting on Day 1. In our academy, we will share how disruptive thinking can unlock the potential of a school and transform the way teachers engage with each other and their students. This session will provide school leaders with principles, examples, and pathways to sustain a disruptive culture to improve a school’s learning environment. You have to Maslow, before you can Bloom. Effective leadership is taking care of those who are in your care. Learn how to better connect with your students and staff who have experienced trauma and stress and how to better support and create teaching and learning environments that strengthen student growth and achievement.
