Andrew Marotta is the Director of Academic Services & communications in Port Jervis, NY. He was Principal & AP for the last 20 years in the great small city of Port Jervis. He took on a new challenge in the 23-24 school year moving to this director position giving him some more flexibility to travel and present nationally as an inspirational speaker. He is a husband, father, adjunct professor of school leadership, former Division 1 men’s college basketball official, speaker, & author.
Andrew is also the leader of the Surviving & Thriving movement. Andrew is an energizing & impactful speaker, author, and school leader. He lives the words on his logo & strives to positively #IMPACT all he meets. A master storyteller, Andrew engages his audiences and fellow leaders with authentic and heartfelt stories, memorable props, and collaborative, fun, &, thought-provoking activities.
Additionally, Andrew officiated Men’s Division 1 college basketball at the highest level for almost 20 years. ACC, A-10, CAA, Patriot, IVY, MAAC, & the NEC were the conferences he worked all the while being a school Principal. This was quite challenging & Andrew survived & thrived through it all. Shauna Green was named the 10th head coach of the Fighting Illini women’s basketball program on March 21, 2022. She wrapped up her third season at Illinois with the 2024-25 campaign.
Across her time at Illinois, Green has led the Illini to a 63-35 record, including a 30-24 mark in Big Ten play. Including her time as the head coach at Dayton, Green owns a 190-85 record as a Division I coach. When adding in her two seasons as the head coach at Loras College (DIII), Green owns a 219-110 head coaching record across her career. Dating back to her second season at Loras, Green has led her squads to 10 consecutive winning seasons. She has guided her teams to a combined six NCAA Tournaments and three WBIT/WNIT appearances. Green’s squads have won seven conference championships (five regular season, two tournament) and the 2024 WBIT championship.
In three seasons under Green, the Illinois women's basketball team has registered 63 wins, the first-ever postseason championship in program history (2024 WBIT), and three consecutive top-5 season attendances in State Farm Center. Additionally, the Illini have racked up six AP Top 25-ranked wins, secured double-digit home victories for three-straight seasons for the first time in program history, won Illinois’ first NCAA Tournament game in 25 seasons, and brought in the No. 7-ranked recruiting class by espnW coming in for the 2025-26 campaign.
